History of Perry Methodist Church

Perry Methodist Church was organized in 1872 in the home of Theodore Reusse (Rice) by Rev. F. Mumme who was a Methodist Circuit Rider responsible for preaching in the northeast area of Falls County. In 1884 the current campus site was acquired and the historic church building was built and dedicated on February 7, 1885. The congregation grew with the addition of many individuals and families over the past 150 years. A Texas Historical Marker was dedicated in 1872 to commemorate our centennial anniversary. Today we continue to worship Jesus Christ and serve our church family, community, and the world in his name.
